, Byakko (White tiger)
Methods of Toaidashi Maki-e and Taka Maki-e are used. Gold and silver powders and little abalone flakes are sprinkled on the night sky. Kirigane was used for the ground. The clouds are done with Bokashi-maki (gradation).

F51, Suzaku (The Red Phoenix)
This ancient design on Suzaku has a lot of techniques involved here. Togidashi Taka Maki-e is mainly used on the birds; it is painted with gold and mixed with red Urushi, and accented with Raden. Many Marugane were set and the Koi Nashiji on the feather are very beautiful.

F52, Genbu (black Snake)
Thousands of Oki Hirame round gold flakes hirame (Hirame set by hand) and hundreds of shells are inlaid on this design. The ground is Kinji Bokashi-maki, and fine gold powders are densely sprinkled onto the surface. The Togidashi Taka Maki-e method is used on the Snake and the Tortoise.
